Post 8 - Halloween
I just got home from taking my kids trick or treating and I started thinking about the difference between the experiences of children and adults during holidays. My kids had so much fun tonight and I really enjoyed seeing their joy, but it's also so much work!! It's the same for the winter holidays....the thought of Christmas is stressful, yet as a child the same thought fills you with wonder and excitement. The contrast is amazing and makes me wish I could feel the same things my children do.

I know how you feel. I never really did halloween but I love the Christmas time. It can be really stressful and it is, but it is also fun. I am happy when I see my son happy so that adds to the joy of Christmas. Also I like the mood around christmas with trees and music on the radio. Great time of the year.
ReplyDeleteI am a mother of a 2 minions two and yes last night was hilarious seeing my 5 year old dressing as princess and my 13 year old teenager feeling like he is a grown man therefore he will only wear a mask and walk with his friends. This morning he was counting all the candies he got just like when he was 4 years old I thought it was funny and cute. Yes I totally agreed that holidays take so much efforts but you have to be with me on this. Looking a our kids faces and see how happy and excited they are is priceless
